The first Tour de Palm Springs began in 1998 with just over 300 riders when Tim Esser rode his bicycle solo from Palm Springs, CA to Jacksonville, FL for charity. The tour hosts nearly 8,000 riders of all ages and abilities.

The 18^th Annual Evening Under the Stars, featuring the music of the American New Wave band, the B-52s, will be held at the O’Donnell Golf Club, Palm Springs, Calif., on Saturday, May 7^th beginning at 6:00 PM.  This black tie optional event is one of the most anticipated social events of the desert season and proceeds will benefit AIDS Assistance Program. 

The AIDS Assistance Program (AAP), whose mission is to help those living with HIV/AIDS in the Greater Palm Springs/Coachella Valley area.  Evening Under the Stars is the cornerstone fundraising event of the year for AAP and seems to becoming more and more popular with each year.  Local philanthropist Jackie Lee Houston will server as Honorary Event Chair.
